Vacation Bible School
Every summer, we have a fun-packed week full of activities. There are games to play, crafts to make, songs to sing, yummy snacks to eat, and really cool lessons from God's Word. Two indentical programs will run for one week each.
Thanks to the enthusiasm, dedication, and hard work of our volunteers during VBS 2010, hundreds of children from our congregation and community have learned about Jesus, made new friends and had loads of summertime fun. We'll see you next summer!
Sunday School
Sunday School is held every Sunday for ages 3-12 (6th grade) during the 9:30 worship hour. Join us each Sunday morning for Gospel Light (3 yr.'s through 4th Grade). Fifth and sixth graders have interactive and hands on Bible-based stories and lessons that are relevant to issues the face young children today. We have "Treasure Box Sunday" once a month. Children can earn gold coins each Sunday that can be redeemed at the "Treasure" store on "Treasure Box Sunday." Every month we celebrate Children in Kindergarten through 6th grades Baptism and Birthday's by receiving special gifts.
Family Factory®
Family Factory events are a new way for families to have fun together and fellowship with other believers. Events are geared towards families with young children, but everyone from mom and dad to grandma and grandpa, aunts, uncles, cousins, and neighbors are invited to join in the fun! Nursery
We have a beautiful nursery for the "Littlest Disciples" to enjoy, complete with outside play structures and a sand table.
Music
St. John's Children's Choir
Children 1st-6th grade are invited to join the St. John's Children's Choir!
The Children's Choir will sing fun contemporary praise music and perform from time-to-time at church services and for special events!
The Choir will rehearse during the first 15 minutes of Sunday School each week. On the last Sunday of the month, they will rehearse for the entire Sunday School hour. Please talk to your child about this fun opportunity and encourage them to particiapte.
Children sing periodically during the Worship Services. Check back for dates.
MOPS
MOPS stands for Mothers of Pre-Schoolers. MOPS exists to meet the needs of every mom, moms who all share a similar desire to be the very best moms they can be! MOPS recognizes that the years from infancy through kindergarten are foundational in a mother-child relationship and are filled with unique needs. MOPS helps moms through relationships established in the context of local groups that provide a caring atmosphere for todays mother of young children. This group meets on the 2nd Thursday of every month beginning in the Fall through May.
Awana
AWANA is a faith-based program offered to children from two years before they enter kindergarten (3 years old) through the sixth grade. AWANA runs on Wednesday evenings from 6:00-7:30 p.m. More information can be found here. Registration is NOW open for Awana. Click Here
Club 56
Club 56 is a monthly activity just for 5th & 6th graders! Through these activities, they get a chance to form deeper relationships with each other before the critical junior high years start, and it's always a blast! Get more information on this month's activity here.
G.A.G.S. (Games and Goodies for Souls)
Every year we have a great Christian event that is an alternative night for Halloween. It's an outreach to our community and an opportuniry of service to the children of our church. Join the fun!
Christmas Celebration
Children's Ministry celebrates Jesus Birth in a special way each year.
Easter Egg-stravaganza!
Come join us for lots of fun and games on Easter morning and, of course, candy/goodies. Don't miss out on the fun!
